A Grape Glitter Franken

I'm feeling Fall in the air today in Southern BC.  I never wanted Summer to end, but as we've gathered school supplies and new school clothes, and had staff meetings instead of beach days, I'm feeling more ready for the routine of Fall.  Plus I'm super excited for tights and boots, and of course some Fall polish!

 

I made this franken a while ago, using Ulta Blackberry and a clear polish for the base and then a ton of Milani Gems.

Twinsie Tuesday, Color Block Mani

Welcome to Twinsie Tuesday!

 

We are all showing you and Color Block mani today, and I'd love to know who came up with this idea!  JK.  Not really.

 

Here is my less than spectacular attempt.  I should have googled some ideas first. 

 

My pointer finger reminds me of Braveheart.

 

 

The lovely shimmery pink is Kim-pletely In Love.  Swatch of that coming soon, so stay tuned.  And the blue is Revlon Dreamer.  They are two lovely colors that I ruined by putting together.  Swatches on their own will make you love them, I promise!

OPI Chatters Me Up

Funny story about this polish...

 

My girlfriend stopped at my house and gave me this polish.  She said she was walking past a salon in the mall, and an employee asked if she wanted a free polish!  And they handed her Chatters Me Up by OPI.  Yes, this IS real life!

 

Since my friend doesn't ever wear polish, and knows my obsession with it, she gave it to me!  Isn't that sweet.

 

I did a little research and found out that Chatters Me Up is an exclusive OPI polish specifically made for the salon chain "Chatters" in Canada.  How cool is that for us Canadians?!

 

Look at that yummy duochrome goodness!

 



I am so in love with this polish.  I've had it on for days now, and I just keep staring and staring.

 



Twinsie Tuesday Floral

Hello friends, welcome to Twinsie Tuesday!  We are showing off a Floral mani this week.  I tried some free hand flowers. 

My basecoat is It's All About the Glam by NOPI The Kardashian Collection, which I got for my birthday, and I am in love with, btw.



I used Lilacism by Essie (another bday pressie) for the light purple roses, and Night Before by Rimmel for the dark purple accents.  Mint Apply by Sinful Colors is the leaves.

Twinsie Tuesday, Animal Print

Happy Tuesday friends.  Time for a Twinsie post...this week we are rocking animal prints!

I chose a leopard print.  If I had had a zebra stamping plate, I would've done that, I love that look.  But, intsead, I tried my hand at some freehand nail art.

Wined and Dined, Color Show

Happy Monday ya'll

After seeing Maribeth's lovely swatches of Wined and Dined by Maybelline, I knew I had to have it!

It's from their new Color Show Collection.  It's one of those polishes that to see it on the shelf I would have never picked it up.  I'm so glad I did, because I loved it on the nail and couldn't stop staring at them! 



 Love the pretty purple flecks in there!



NYC Lincoln Square Lavendar

The sun is shining again in BC, so that calls for a beach day!  Here, I'll show you some pics before I go...

This little pretty is NYC Lincoln Square Lavendar.  Three thin coats make it opaque and beautifully smooth.  It's definately shows as a pink cream on the nail, but has a hint of lavendar as well.



It was begging for a little sparkle.  So I added a coat of L.A. Girl Scandal.





Twinsie Tuesday Glassfleck

Happy Tuesday everyone!  That means it's time for another Twinsie post.

It's glassfleck time.  I love me some glassflecks :)

This is Number One Nemesis by OPI, sent to me by the lovely Nory.  NON is one of those fabulous polishes that looks different in every light.  I couldn't capture the beautiful BLUE flecks that are so unexpected in this polish., but they ARE there, and they are fabulous.

Posy

I made a franken that reminds me so much of Summer.  I named her Posy.  It's a blue jelly with multi colored and sized glitter, some small white glass flecks, and larger white flakies. Mmmmmm.

I should have put more flakies in it!  You can never have too many flakies I always say.



When I wore this, I actually preferred my right hand (it had more glitter on it) but I didn't even attempt to take a pic of it!  It's luck of the swipe with this franken.  I guess I could've put another swipe on, this was 3 thin coats.  And they super quick, it was great.



I used a concoction of polishes from my stash to make Posy.
